Production Operative
Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
Pay rates start at £14.29- £28.51
Shift: Various shift times available Monday to Sunday, including days, nights and rotational shifts

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Gi Group and work for our prestigious client, as we are recruiting for Production Operatives at Vauxhall Motors (Stellantis) in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Located just off junction 6/7 of the M53, Vauxhall Motors is a well-established car manufacturer in the area and is looking to expand its site team.

Production Operative responsibilities:
• Off-load a variety of body panels from the Press Machine line into racks
• Visual and manual part inspection to look for Quality issues in the pressed panels
• Preventative Maintenance – checking tools used on the line to make sure they are free from faults prior to production running
• 5S activities to keep the area clean and tidy and free from hazards
• Operating of machinery, input and removal of materials
• Recording of production data
• Handling and processing of the finished product
• High attention to detail and quality inspection
• Work with the team to ensure the workplace cleanliness is maintained
• Understand and adhere to company health and safety standards.

Production Operative required skills:
• Good communication skills
• Working as part of a team
• Self-motivated and ability to learn new processes quickly
• FLT License would be an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and standardised work
• A high level of self-motivation and tenacity

Production Operative Pay & Shifts:
Days: 06:45 AM- 15:15 PM, 40 hours/ week at Standard Rate: £14.29/ hour, Overtime Rate: £21.44
Afternoons: 14:40- 23:30, 40 hours/ week at Standard Rate: £17.43, Overtime Rate: £26.15
Double Days: 2 weeks days, 2 weeks afternoons at Standard Rate: £15.86, Overtime Rate: £23.79
Nights: 20:30- 06:00, 40 hours/week at Standard Rate: £19.01, Overtime: £28.51
Rotating 3 shifts: Standard Rate: £16.91, Overtime Rate: £25.36
*All hours worked on Sunday paid at double time
