Tug / HGV Driver
Working onsitein the Southampton Port we are recruiting for Tug Driver roles for this busy cargo handling operation. This is a great opportunity with flexible hours.
Shift pattern / Working hours
(Up to) 12-hour shifts, Days + Nights available dependent on vessel traffic.
Shifts starts are usually 06:00 for days and 18:00 for nights.
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Perfect for those requiring ongoing and flexible hours.
Job description
· As a Tug Driver you will be involved in the movement of cargo around the port of global freight in containers in the busy terminal
· Adhering at all times to clear safety and quality standards to ensure shifts are conducted safely and effectively
The successful candidate:
· Will be flexible to work across days and or nights depending on vessel times
· Committed, team player with a keen eye for safety.
· Reliable, with good timekeeping.
· HGV Licence
· A full UK HGV 1 Driving Licence is required for this role
· Some previous experience as an Tug Driver or other similar roles would be advantageous

Experience:
- Tug driving: 1 year (preferred)
- HGV (Class 1): 1 year (required)
Licence / Certification:
- Full UK Driving License and HGV Class 1 (required)
