Estimator – Civil Engineering & Groundworks

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, working on a range of civil engineering and groundworks projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional to contribute to tendering, cost planning, and securing contracts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing accurate cost estimates for civil engineering and groundworks projects
• Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and tender documents
• Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
• Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
• Preparing bid submissions and tender documentation
• Collaborating with project teams, clients, and commercial departments
• Monitoring market trends and cost fluctuations to ensure competitive pricing

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in an Estimator role within civil engineering or groundworks
• Strong knowledge of tendering and cost estimating procedures
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Ability to analyse drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
