Salary: GBP50000 - GBP60000 per annum + plus excellent benefits + Bonus

With Operations across the Globe and with an ever expanding customer base, this prestigious manufacturer are planning the next part of their recruitment push, following their recent investment they are looking for a Engineering Team Leader to lead their well-established engineering team. The company has multiple sites within the organisation and offers opportunity to any employee to train both internally and externally to become the best Engineer / Manager possible, this role also comes with opportunities to progress up the ladder within the organisation and progress your career.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Perform Minor Stop and repeat breakdown analysis across all areas of the production plant specifically linked to top loss areas.
  • Develop plans and sustainable countermeasures to remove root causes of both minor stops, breakdowns and component failures from process equipment.
  • Drive improvement solutions from start to completion.
  • Lead the technical element of preventive maintenance and support where required.
  • Effective communicator with all members of the operations team including engineering, production, safety and quality teams.
  • Input into engineering maintenance strategy to irradicate breakdowns
  • Lead improvement activities to improve production efficiency and reduce cost, waste and engineering inefficiencies, supporting operators and CI team to complete kaizens as required.
  • Utilise lean and manufacturing FI tools and techniques
  • Ensure improvements are sustainable, share knowledge with all team members, updating engineering standards and maintenance
  • Understand principles and parameters of equipment, be able to describe and analyse loss phenomenon and plan to eliminate these losses

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship and have applied their mechanical and electrical skills in their current (or recent) role
  • Experience leading a team, making Improvements across engineering / Maintenance departments.
  • Background – very open as long as you have worked in an engineering function.
  • Ideally Mechanical and Electrical Multiskilled
  • Qualified to ONC/HND and NVQ3 or equivalent
  • Basic/Advanced PLC skills, Broad knowledge and experience of electro mechanical equipment, maintenance and principles.
