This leading worldwide manufacturer is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to their management team. The role is based within their South Wales production facility, which is currently experiencing an enormous degree of growth and prosperity. This is a key role within the company which provides genuine career progression and further development.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead & develop a team of personnel across procurement, planning & stock control.
- Provide accurate and timely information on resource and capacity required to meet customer requirements
- Active member of the site management team
- Ensuring that the best value in terms of quality, price and service is always achieved
- Hands on coaching and mentoring of all team members
- Responsibility for KPIs and prepare budget activities
- Work closely with global supply chain to obtain competitive pricing
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Excellent Supply Chain and Logistics experience at management or supervisory level
- Proven track record of achievement in all aspects of Logistics, MRP systems, planning tools, stock accuracy and transportation
- Experience within the manufacturing industry
- Background working in a high pressurised environment would be extremely transferrable
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Experience of working with both customers and suppliers
