Painter – Commercial and Industrial

Milton Keynes, MK15 0DD. 

Mon - Fri 7.00am - 3.30pm – 40 hours paid per week

£16.72 PAYE - £22.00CIS

Initially, 4 weeks work which may lead to further long-term, ongoing works.

The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the commercial and industrial sector. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes complete industrial and commercial installations along with planned and preventive maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a painter - commercial and industrial, to join the company supporting a facilities management project in Milton Keynes MK15 0DD.  

Duties

As a suitably experienced painter with commercial and industrial painting experience you will be working on site at a major food production facility in Milton Keynes. With responsibility to prepare then paint the interior of the food production areas, general access areas and office spaces. Specifically, preparing the surrounding area, including covering fixtures and machinery to prevent mess and contamination. Preparing painted surfaces by removing old and flaking paint, filling holes and washing walls. Then, applying emulsion paint to finished surfaces as necessary. You will also be required to clean up during and after the works to prevent Health and Safety hazards. The scope of work also includes gloss painting to skirting, door frames and doors along with other general painting works as requested by the site management team.  

About You

Based ideally in Milton Keynes you will need to live within a short commutable distance of MK15 0DD. With experience of commercial or industrial painting, a strong construction background is essential for this role.

NVQ Level 3 Painting and Decorating or similar is preferred. You must have experience of commercial painting.

CSCS and IPAF are preferred.
