Citrix Cloud/VDI specialist, Cloud Migration, Remote

Specialist Citrix/VDI specialist required for an industry leading business.

The wider project is a Europe-wide migration from legacy, on premise technology to a Citrix and Cloud (Azure) solution. The successful candidate will be part of an international Virtual Workplace team consisting managing Citrix farms for a large number of users.

You will work closely with other Workplace & Infrastructure technical, project and product; this role will involve the delivery of strategic direction and expansion of the Europe-wide Virtual desktop estate.

A strong design and integration mind-set to support any future move to a true cloud based service id essential.

Service can be provide on a remote basis.

This assignment is required to operate through an Umbrella company and all employer, employee tax and NI will be deducted from the rate.

General responsibilities: -

Contribute significantly to and assist with the delivery and maintenance of the Virtual Desktop roadmap, in conjunction with relevant Tech Specialists & architects.

• Develop virtual desktop and application hosting offerings to support local & global requirements.
• Develop business cases for usage of the correct desktop platforms to local and global customers.
• Ensure all relevant project proposals align with the global strategy and are optimised for the end users.
• Keep track of technical debt and provide solutions to mitigate.

• Citrix Cloud
• Citrix Xen Desktop 7.x plus legacy products
• Azure Multi Region Hosting
• TFE (Terraform)
• PowerShell
• Windows 11, Windows 11 Multi-Session
• Windows Server 2019> 2025
• Citrix product knowledge including Storefront & NetScaler
• Citrix products that supplement XenApp and XenDesktop
• Virtual Desktop, Citrix Gateways Services, Citrix Device Posture
• Experience of working within a project environment providing technical leadership, design and performance enhancement
• Strategic understanding of Virtual Desktop technologies, specifically Citrix
• Ability to communicate ideas & solutions to audiences of all levels and nationalities, adapting style accordingly.
• Ability to lead the development of I.T. solutions in Virtual Workplace
• Solution design experience.
