Salary: GBP55000 - GBP55000 per annum

My client, operating in the aviation industry is looking for a:
 

Role: Techinical Author
Location: Basel, switzerland
Contract:  permanent

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

  • Support in building up the AMM and IPC supplements, all ATA chapters
  • Support in building up the internal guidelines
  • Work independently on writing AMM supplements (all P/B) and according to the airworthiness requirements
  • Work independently on creating the parts list tables, according to the airworthiness requirements Work independently on creating the illustrations

 

KEY ASPECTS OF THE ACTIVITY

  • Analyzes the engineering documents (electrical/mechanical drawings, ground checks, specifications, project description
  • Works effectively with engineering teams and relevant shops
  • Establishes and updates the aircraft maintenance manual (AMM) supplements
  • Establishes and updates the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) supplements
  • Produces the isometric illustrations
  • Tracks the design revisions
  •  Prepares the customer documentation package
  • Develops technical documentation libraries (illustration and reused sentences)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical Author, master’s degree or senior technical author
  • Mechanical engineering level
  • Knowledge in aeronautics would be an advantage
  • Experience using Adobe Framemaker/Illustrator, IsodrawCADprocess, Sketchup, AutoCAD
  • MS Office (Word, Excel) and CAD literacy
  • XML and VB Script would be an advantage
  • Very good communication skill in English (spoken and US-written) German advantageous
  • Goal-driven pro-active team player
