Gi Group are working in partnership to supply Ward Hosts to a number of NHS Hospital sites across Nottinghamshire.

We are currently supplying several Hospitals across Nottinghamshire including Mansfield and Newark.

About:

Ward hosts are responsible for serving food and drinks to patients during their stay in hospital. Applicants will be courteous, kind, and cheerful. 3 meals and 5 drinks are served during the day. Ward hosts will adhere to high standards of hygiene and will be able to pass a standard DBS. All training will be provided for this role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collect all foods and consumables for the ward daily, check and store in accordance with company and governmental guidelines.
• Ensure that all food is stored, handled, and presented at the correct temperature and in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
• Serve meals for patients’ consumption in line with HACCP system for lunch and supper.
• Understand various Menus and offer to patients accordingly.
• Maintain records of temperatures and take remedial action when necessary.
• Ensure that all foods and non-food items are delivered correctly and to the appropriate wards.
• Ensure the quality and presentation of all foods is to company standard as set out in the ward service manual.
• Remove all patients’ trays, crockery and cutlery after each meal service and clean accordingly using the dishwasher.
• Clean the Ward kitchen during and after service.
• Comply with all Health and Safety legislation which is laid out in the companies H&S manual.
• Any other duties as required by team.

Shifts for this role are:

Any 4 days out of 7 including weekends.
07:10 – 13:30
14:30 – 18:30
Applicants must be flexible to work both shifts.

Pay rate for this role is £11.44 per hour.
