Job Summary:

As a CFM-56 Engine MRO Planning Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure smooth coordination and scheduling of engine repairs, working closely with various departments, including Inventory, Machine Shop, Inspection, Purchasing, Assembly/Disassembly, and Quality, to ensure all MRO aspects are efficiently covered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and develop the production planning team on systems and operations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of work scopes to understand repair requirements and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and the Outside Vendor Service team to ensure all necessary materials are identified and ordered.
  • Ensure internal and external repair work orders are aligned with engine schedules.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors to ensure resources are available to meet deadlines.
  • Issue weekly progress reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Monitor critical parts lists and address any bottlenecks.
  • Review and manage aging inventory to maintain optimal efficiency.
  • Analyze Turnaround Time (TAT) data to create realistic production schedules.
  • Lead production meetings, identify critical paths, and drive problem-solving efforts.
  • Develop contingency plans to handle capacity surges and expedited delivery requests.
  • Ensure that all parts, materials, and tooling are in place to execute planned tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and other quality standards.
  • Provide process improvement recommendations to management.
  • Work closely with the assembly team to meet production deadlines and ensure timely engine deliveries.
  • Oversee and manage Engine Performance Program (EPP) business.
  • Implement and adhere to gate systems to enhance accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • In-depth experience with Quantum ERP, with proven expertise in system usage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Planning/Coordination within Engine MRO.
  • Solid engine knowledge, with CFM56 expertise considered a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
