This role requires a self-motivated individual to oversee business operations and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, all while maintaining a steadfast focus on safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and profitability across departmental and organizational levels.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold P&L discipline for the region's sites.
- Coordinate activities among departments involved in production, sales, and product distribution.
- Execute strategies to meet established KPIs set by the VP of Operations.
- Cultivate a culture of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Improvement.
- Implement efficiency enhancements and cost reduction efforts to meet regional budget targets.
- Manage personnel, including scheduling and assigning duties.
- Ensure adherence to quality procedures and manuals.
- Analyze sales and operational metrics to drive productivity and identify areas for improvement.
- Determine staffing needs and oversee recruitment and training processes.
- Spearhead lean initiatives, visual factory management, and enhance 5S activities.
- Apply the theory of constraints and develop programs to boost overall site output.
- Coordinate customer on-site visits for optimal impact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to allocate resources effectively.
- Proactively identify and resolve conflicts while balancing program requirements and resource constraints.
- Address customer concerns promptly and effectively.
- Foster the professional development of site leads and high-potential employees.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of operations management experience preferred.
- FAA Airframe License and FAA Part 65 certification required.
- Proficiency in a technical field such as engineering, contracts administration, or program management.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer operations and MS Office products.
- Excellent communication skills.
