Job Description:
The CFM Engine Borescope Inspector will be responsible for following established processes according to the latest technical data provided in the manufacturer's instructions for continued airworthiness. This includes adhering to service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, and both government and industry-standard practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Adhering to processes outlined in the manufacturer's instructions, service bulletins, and industry standards to maintain continued airworthiness.
- Performing preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections on civil aviation components as per airworthiness directives.
- Conducting thorough borescope inspections.
- Managing engine intake receiving, inventory, and borescope processes.
- Carrying out all module inspections and completing in-process signoffs.
- Issuing paperwork for shop disassembly, assembly, and final inspection.
- Ensuring all tools used during assembly are calibrated and current.
- Performing troubleshooting, repairs, and complete rework of parts and assemblies.
- Reading and comprehending routers and OEM manuals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Powerplant License.
- At least 3 years of borescope inspection experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using all hand and pneumatic tools.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair concepts is preferred.
- Ability to diagnose failures, perform rework on parts, and meet company quality standards.
- Capability to learn and perform basic repairs.
- Ability to read and understand routers and OEM manuals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience with CFM56-3, -5B, and -7B engines.
- Experience with Quantum component control aviation software.
- Proficiency in English.
