Any Work schedule/remote flexibility? - Onsite, but some flexibility with being remote after initial training. Needs to physically be located in the Sterling Heights MI area
Occasional overtime, and weekend hours may be required to complete critical tasks.
Job Description
At least 3 openings. Ideally looking for Degreed Engineers (BSEE, BSME, or Computer Engineering) Harness experience with CAD tools background (MG Capital Harness would be great, but Creo/UG/Solidworks, etc is acceptable as well.

- Designing electrical wiring harnesses to include component selection for connectors, backshells, sleeving, braiding, sealants, boots, transitions, etc.
- Determining harness layout through vehicle, branch points for multi-branch harnesses
- Designing to environmental requirements for temperature, shock, vibration, submergence, exposure to harsh chemicals
- Designing harnesses for MIL ground vehicle environment highly desired
- Designing harnesses in Mentor Graphics Capital Harness System software, working specifically in Harness XC, Capital Logic and Capital Topology
Secondary Tasks
- Working with CAD draftsman to route harnesses in 3D CAD tools (Pro-E and/or NX)
- Working with CAD draftsman to develop released drawings for harnesses, electrical installations, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Working with systems engineers to define whole vehicle pin-level interconnect
- Working with physical architects to define harness routing channels, space claims
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant post graduate work
- Ability to balance cost/schedule/technical priorities
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance if necessary.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio desirable.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics Capital desirable.
- Experience with Pro-E Creo desirable.
- Experience with NX desirable.
- Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use Engineering Development and Test Tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Strong record keeping skills
