My client, a leading Manufacturer in Greater Manchester is searching for an experienced Planning Manager. This role offers high levels of autonomy, measurable targets with a clear bonus structure, and is critical to the business’s success.
Role Description
- Lead a team of 3 production planners and a material buyer. Providing influence/buyers to stakeholders in the process
- Find solutions to minimise cost while ensuring OTIF is improved
- Contribute to sales, operations and capacity strategy
- Have a clear understanding of the production process from raw materials to finished goods
- Work with teams such as sales, commercial to spot trends and any risks
- Promote continuous improvement across the business
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience within a planning role in manufacturing
- Strong people skills, both people and process management
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes from raw materials and to finished goods
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, computer literate
