    My client, a global manufacturer in the Northwest has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically minded Mechanical Design Engineer. Working within this well-established company you will be involved in the full design process of orders, improvements and cost reductions. The company is experiencing a continued increase in business, and this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a growing team.

    Role & Responsibilities
    • Generate new systems to customer specifications
    • Liaise with supplier to find optimal design solutions

    • Complete Mechanical design checks for team members
    • Develop, maintain and amend engineering drawings using CAD
    • Ensure project costs/estimates are understood against actual costs
    • Participate in continuous improvement activities

    Required Skills & Experience
    • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
    • Working knowledge of Engineering Design System (3D CAD)
    • Specific experience with 3D Autodesk Inventor
    • Knowledge of CAD data management systems (Teamcenter or similar)
    • Knowledge of MRP systems
