About the Role
As a Business Analyst, you will support a multi-year finance program aimed at streamlining and standardising business processes across various functions. Initially play a key role in the design and optimisation of order-to-cash processes, working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), technical teams, and vendors. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, tracking data, and ensuring alignment with business objectives throughout the transformation.
This is an initial six-month contract within a program expected to run for two to three years, offering strong potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders, SMEs, and vendors.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to define business needs and process improvements.
- Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessments to optimise order-to-cash (O2C) processes.
- Participate in detailed design sessions and support key decision-making.
- Ensure alignment between business goals, project objectives, and system requirements.
- Track project progress, maintain documentation, and provide reporting on key milestones.
- Support early system validation and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive process consistency.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and recommend standardised solutions.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in finance transformation within logistics, accounting, order management, transportation, supply chain, or distribution industries.
- Ability to gather, document, and analyse business and technical requirements from stakeholders, SMEs, and vendors.
- Experience facilitating design sessions and contributing to key decision-making.
- Skilled in process mapping, gap analysis, and data tracking to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, supporting project managers and stream leads with key insights.
- Knowledge of order-to-cash (O2C) processes and business process standardisation.
- Experience with Custom or Bespoke software
- Experience in system validation and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels, with a strong focus on change management.
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills to optimise business processes and drive efficiency.
