Data Scientist – Pricing & Marketing Optimization

Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days WFH)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join a dynamic and data-driven organization, working on high-impact projects that optimize pricing and marketing strategies. You will be responsible for building predictive models, running A/B tests, analyzing large datasets, and collaborating with key teams to uncover actionable insights. The role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and a passion for applying data science in a commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end data science projects, from exploration to deployment.
  • Collaborate with pricing and marketing teams to translate business needs into data-driven insights.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and pricing experiments.
  • Process large-scale datasets to uncover key trends and drive commercial value.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain predictive models (regression, classification, time series forecasting).
  • Work with Azure Cloud Platforms (desirable) to scale and operationalize machine learning models.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills

  • Python – Proficient in data manipulation and machine learning.
  • SQL – Strong ability to query large datasets and optimize performance.
  • Machine Learning – Hands-on experience in regression, classification, clustering, and time series forecasting.
  • A/B Testing – Ability to design and interpret controlled experiments.
  • End-to-End Project Experience – Experience taking a data science project from concept to production.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Azure Cloud Platforms (ADF, Azure ML, Logic Apps, Azure Functions).
  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar visualization tools.
