An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Project Manager to join our clients IT Team. Our client is delivering a detailed Digital Transformation Programme across its business and the IT Project Manager will play an instrumental role amongst the team, managing across all aspects of the system development lifecycle within the business and with the clients customers.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project teams to review business need and capture business and technical requirements that meet current need and provide a platform for growth. Ensure that business and technical requirements are as efficient and effective as possible and that they are met through the delivery of technical and business change and delivered within the timescales, budget and to the quality required.
  • Operate within a Matrix managed structure; reporting progress to the IT Team / Business Sponsor / Product Owner.
  • Contribute to the programme of continuous improvement.
  • Following departmental and company-wide standards, own programmes of work or projects from inception through to deployment and handover to the business and support teams, following an appropriate warranty period.
  • Support the Business Requirement Phase, liaising with customers to understand the business requirement for the project, develop effective working relationships and ensure the customer’s close involvement and satisfaction with the product developed.
  • Agree and manage work objectives, budgets and timescales with the project teams, suppliers and customers.
  • Conduct required project stand-ups, workshops, and presentations.
  • Ensure clear, efficient communication between all members of the team and stakeholders.
  • Manage project deliveries utilising internal resource, external resource, 3rd party companies, or a combination of all.
  • Act as effective point of escalation, control, and reference for your project teams.
  • Ensure that the required Project MI is provided in a clear and timely fashion.
  • Manage project risk, escalating as necessary.
  • Work closely within the IT Team, Product Owner, and Business Sponsor to ensure that each project successfully delivers its objectives.
  • Support and mentor members of the team with regards best practice techniques.
  • Drive improvements in process and practice, ensuring that lessons learned are recorded and effectively used to improve the team.

 Skill Requirements:

  • Certification in at least one of Prince2 Practitioner, Agile PM, PMP, Scrum-master or similar with 3+ years demonstrable experience of successful delivery.
  • Solid experience of managing blended teams of resource operating in various sites.
  • Good overall appreciation for Technology and experience in software development projects, preferably using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Use of Monday.com and Microsoft project or similar planning and analysis tool.
  • Proven working knowledge of Software development lifecycles, including Prince2 or equivalent, Agile and/or iterative development.
  • Self-starter with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Personal gravitas and the ability to influence key programme decisions.
  • A strong personality with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
