CNC Machnist

Full-time permanent role

3 shift patterns (am/pm/nights)

£14.44 for AM/PM shifts

£17.07 for nights

Salary rising after 6 months

We are now recruiting a CNC Machinist to join one of our clients based in Port Talbot due to company growth. The company in question is a global business

CNC Machinist– Main Duties

• Machine parts using programmes supplied from the Engineering team and edit programs as required ensuring on time delivery of machined parts
• Save all programs and set up sheets after every job, identifying areas for improvement
• Highlight any issues to Operations Manager
• Set machine to parameters to specific tolerances
• 1^st off & in-process inspection ensuring quality of parts is to the standard required
• Keep high level of housekeeping at all times

What are we looking for in you?

• Time served or qualified as a CNC Machinist with experience of turning/milling machines
• Experience within a mechanical engineering environment
• Good understanding of measurement tools and gauges
• Ability to check and measure own work
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and work to tight tolerances

Hours of work:

Days 6 am – 2 pm Monday – Friday

Afternoons 2 pm – 10 pm Monday – Friday

Nights 10pm-6 am (Sunday – Thursday)
