ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are partnering with a leading national retail business to find an Accountant to support financial reporting and month-end processes across multiple entities. This role is ideal for an Assistant Accountant looking to step up into a more hands-on position within a fast-paced, multi-site retail environment.

Working closely with the GM Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, assisting with compliance requirements, and supporting the annual audit process.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assisting in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journals and reconciliations for P&L and balance sheet accounts
• Supporting BAS and FBT preparation for multiple entities
• Participating in the annual audit process, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Assisting with financial reporting to support the FP&A team
• Handling ad-hoc finance duties as required

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years' experience in a Financial Accounting role
• Previous experience in a multi-site retail environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
• Intermediate Excel skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
• System Savvy
