Salary : £45,000 + Bonus
Hours : 40 hours per week (flexitime) Monday to Friday, part home working available
Benefits : 6% pension matched contribution 4 x salary life assurance, 25  + bank hols (option to buy additional days)

The Vehicle Technical support and training specialist / Defence training support and training
role will involve working in a team delivering technical support and training of the SV platform Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) to internal departments and external customers including the MoD’s vehicle support team.

The successful Vehicle Technical support and training specialist / Defence training support and training person requires an understanding of the MoD and military supply chain combined with specialist knowledge of vehicles.

 

The following skill set and expertise are required

  • Technical understanding of military wheeled vehicle systems & operations
  • Able to deliver training
  • Ability to understand and interpret customer needs
  • Complete reports
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Must have a related Mechanical and or Electrical systems qualification
  • Good problem solving and planning skills
  • Quick to pick up new IT systems, and adept at using MS Excel or SAP or similar
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, articulate telephone manner and good written English

 

Experience & Educational Requirements:

  • Technical ‘support ’ background
  • Experienced in military logistic vehicle operations
  • Qualifications in automotive engineering or related mechanical, electrical or similar
  • Proven training delivery experience
  • Computer literate including the use of Microsoft suite, SAP, Microsoft SharePoint
  • A full Uk Driving license is essential as travel may be required at times for the position

 

The successful candidate should have first-hand knowledge of the MoD supply chain and military vehicles combined with technical training and support. The ability to develop and maintain training packages for vehicles and sub systems is desirable.

 

The successful candidate must have a very good understanding of military logistics or SAP systems, and general Microsoft packages combined with excellent interpersonal skills, an articulate telephone manner and good written English skills for report writing and communicating.

 

This role is to start ASAP,  permanent within this multi-billion pound organisation and offers salary around 45k, package including 33 days hols (option to buy additional days) 40 hour working week with flexi start and finish times, part homeworking, 6% matched pension and  4 x salary life assurance.
