Salary: AED25000 - AED27000 per month

 

Overview

You will be responsible for the current operational sites within the Dubai EPC and VPC located inside the Jebel Ali Free Zone Area (JAFZA), and over time with an expanded role linked to business growth earmarked for the entire Middle East Region.

 

You will:

  1. Plan, lead, organize and control the complete operations function for both Auto and High & Heavy Segments.
  2. Work with Middle East Management team to develop and offer highly differentiated Solutions service offerings to current and prospective clients in the Middle East Region.
  3. Gear up operational capability in the Middle East for growth.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate auto and high & heavy operations teams to provide effective and efficient services in line with customer and company requirements. `
  • To ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency standards required by the company and customers are met.
  • Develop and implement Standardized Work including adherence to Standardized work across all operational processes.
  • Work with customer representatives to formulate and implement accurate and meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Implement an industrial engineering approach to running operations through: time, method and motion studies, team member ergonomics, tool selection, production scheduling, lean-thinking and visual management.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives that seek to achieve improvements on cost, quality, lead-time and productivity for Solutions and its customers.
  • Support the Customer Growth Department to acquire new business and extend current business scopes that align with the company long term strategy.
  • Support costing and rate negotiation activities with clients.
  • Work with the Human Resources department to attract, train and retain suitable talent at all operational sites.
  • Maintain high level client relationships built on trust and transparency.
  • Lead the setup and start-up of new contracts and operations.
  • Develop reports, proposal and presentations for internal company and customer requirements.
  • Responsible for driving company-wide continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of accurate and meaningful key performance indicators at all operational sites.
  • Responsible for the financial profitability of all operational sites.
  • Setting up and negotiating contracts and rates with suppliers.
  • Ability to develop and demonstrate key value propositions to current and potential clients.
  • Work with speed to create a mindset for differentiating Solutions services offerings to customers in-line with our mission, four strategic pathways and nine value-streams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • While the role requires some evidence of formal academic training or qualification, the current business requirement in the region seeks a candidate with solid work experience that includes a demonstrable track record of running successful operations for delivering operational excellence with evidence of an engineering mindset to trouble shoot and problem solve.
  • Minimum 10 years of leading in a production, operations, or logistics role, preferably at an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) either Auto or High & Heavy or for Solutions – Essential.
  • Must have experience and a background of working with Transport Service Providers for Auto and High & Heavy cargo.
  • Experience of working with and embedding the implementation of production philosophies such as: TPS, TBP, TQM, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen (Continuous Improvement), Agile and WoW – Essential.
  • Demonstrable evidence of leading and implementing successful operations projects at OEM or within Solutions.
  • Evidence of understanding revenue and cost drivers to deliver positive financial results.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license & drive manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Advanced English speaking and writing skills.
