Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturing business, part of a global business that is vast expanding its products & customer base. They are looking for an experienced Site Services & Facilities Manager, part of their senior site leadership team.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for maintenance, operation & services of the site services, utilities & facilities area
  • Reporting all functionally of the department to the Factory Director
  • Support the site performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Moral & Environment targets
  • Leading Utilities Team Leaders, 6 Site Services Engineers, 1 Site Services Coordinator and Contracts Managers looking after the facilities function
  • Site Services (Utilities) – ensure 24/7 operation, maintenance & contractors working safely across, boilers, compressors, ammonia, wastewater treatment plant, lighting, chillers, cooling towers, AHU
  • Facilities – Looking after contracts managers, responsible for contract supply services to the factory (cleaning, security, uniforms, external maintenance – painting, plumbing, lighting)
  • Key tasks – training, department budget control, leadership & team skills development, energy efficiency, PPM’s, strategy, site services compliance standards, stock management
  • Focusing on major improvements of TPM, SMED, Lean Design, Factory Availability & Development
  • Anaylse plant performance data to develop improvement action plans
  • Health & safety, supplier contract negotiations, leadership training, waste management

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Must be an experienced Site Services & Facilities Manager – part of site leadership teams
  • Worked in FMCG, high-care food or pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Knowledge of boilers, compressors, energy plant, water treatment, ammonia, CHP, cooling etc
  • Experience in managing soft & hard services contracts for facilities
  • Dealt with utilities departmental compliance & regulations
  • Budget control to P&L level, including reporting, performance management, supplier negotiation
  • Time-served experience and ideally degree qualified in engineering
  • Knowledge & experience of TPM, WCM and any other factory operating systems
  • Proactive, professional attitude, who leads the department by example
  • Able to drive site preventive maintenance plans & strategies both internally & externally
  • Strong analytical approach to monitor performance data and suggest improvements
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Confident character – able to make business minded decisions, constructively & effectively
  • Previously have created career development plans for team members
  • Worked in a role where you work across cross-functional factory departments closely
