Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturing business, part of a global business that is vast expanding its products & customer base. They are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their expanding CI projects team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Identify and manage investment and continuous improvement projects on site
- Deliver small to medium CAPEX and Capital investment projects from cradle to grave
- Lead project scope for new production & packaging machinery, engineering development plans
- Assist in the preparation of capital authorization requests for projects, to include objectives, scope, budget and timings
- Prepare project documentation in line with governance, compliance and qualification process
- Control the project capital investment budget, from purchase order request through to invoice
- Coordinate and communicate directly with onsite key stakeholders (logistics, production, maintenance, engineering & quality teams), both internally and externally
- Ensure handover and completion at each phase of projects
- Prepare and implement coaching/training of staff on new project implementations
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Ideally Degree or similarly qualified in engineering
- Must have lots of experience in a similar projects role within a technical function – engineering, maintenance, projects, production
- General process knowledge on food / FMCG processing equipment & production machinery
- Must have worked in the food, FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
- Engineering knowledge – flow, pressure, pumps, valves, electrical, instrumentation, piping, temperature systems, pneumatics, hydraulics
- Must be able to show previous evidence of doing project calculations for design, change management and process mapping
- CAD experience would be beneficial
- Highly organised person, food project planning & route mapping experience
- Strong & effective communicator, working across all difference levels and different teams
- CAPEX project management experience and financial / budget control
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies would be great
