Shifts:- 12hr 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off

Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturing business, part of a global business that is vastly expanding its products base. They are looking for a number of experienced site services & utilities engineers to join their shift site services team.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Working as part of a team of site services engineers, responsible for managing and controlling all the utilities associated with keeping a production facility running efficiently
  • Proactively work through PPM’s provided by the site service coordinator
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving, repairs, meter reading, checks, PPM’s
  • Utilities – air compressors, refrigeration, boilers, steam systems, AHU’s, water treatment plant
  • Wastewater Treatment Plant – chemical checks, effluent, MBR plant, water reuse systems
  • General Site Services – sprinklers, emergency lighting, fire systems, fire alarms, shutter doors

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience of working in utilities, site services, wastewater treatment
  • Dealt with steam boilers, air compressors, refrigeration, chillers
  • NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualified in engineering or higher
  • Ideally have completed a time-served-apprenticeship
  • Must have experience of working in a busy food / FMCG environment
  • Knowledge of safe working practices & compliance
  • Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Ideally have 17th or 18th Edition Electrical
  • Physically fit – lots of walking, climbing, lifting etc.
  • Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma methodologies is beneficial
