£42,000 + Overtime Available  

 

Monday-Friday Double Days

Week 1:- 6am-2pm / Week 2:- 2pm-10pm – both with early finish Fridays!

Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a multi-billion-pound global group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a strong electrical biased maintenance engineer to join their close knit team of engineers.

 

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • PPM & reactive maintenance on all production & packaging machinery and press shop tools
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
  • Working on conveyors, labellers, seamers, power presses, control panels, printers, palletisers
  • Electrical – motors, sensors, servo drives, inverters, control panels, circuits, VSD’s, relays
  • Electrical installation, safety, testing & inspection
  • PLC – electrical fault finding / problem solving
  • Mechanical – gearboxes, hydraulics, bearings, shafts, drives, belts, chains
  • Fault finding in control panels and wiring
  • Assist with maintenance on site services, facilities and associated plant equipment
  • Project work – new machine installations & development work
  • Monitor efficiencies, PPM plans and suggest improvements

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Must be an electrically biased maintenance engineer / industrial electrician
  • Have previously worked in manufacturing industry
  • Ideally qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering as minimum
  • Completed a time-served-apprenticeship
  • Must have worked with VSD’s, motors, inverters, sensors, circuits, servo drives
  • PLC – electrical fault finding skills
  • Team player – working in a small team, everyone supports each other, helps in all areas
  • Must have strong electrical fault finding & problem solving skills
  • Beneficial to have 17th or 18th Edition
  • Dealt with PPM systems and happy to contribute towards improvement ideas
  • Willing to train mechanically if needed
  • Industrial electrical fault finding on control panels
