Monday-Friday Days (7am-3pm

£48,000 + Overtime

Our client is an established food manufacturer, part of a larger global group, with multiple sites worldwide. Due to growth & CI Projects at the site, they are looking for an 2 new maintenance engineers to join their processing & manufacturing team.

 

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Carry out planned, reactive maintenance and safety checks on all industrial process & production equipment, conveyors, mixers, bucket elevators, belts, chains, rotating equipment, PLC’s
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding, repairs, stripdowns & overhauls
  • Working on motors, pumps, compressors, valves, gearboxes, drives, bearings, shafts, actuators, hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment
  • Improving plant availability, reliability and continuous improvement work
  • Monitor contractors on site

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – either electrical or mechanical biased
  • HNC or HND qualified, time served apprenticeship
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
  • Previously have dealt with industrial processing & equipment and manufacturing systems
  • Must have worked in an industrial manufacturing sector
  • Knowledge of electrical safety isolation procedures
  • Must have worked on motors, pumps, valves, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes
  • Experience of using SAP would be beneficial
  • Advantageous if worked with PLC systems
  • Any experience of working in an ATEX / CompEX environment would be great
