Monday-Friday Days + 1 in 5 Week Duty Manager Call Out Rota

Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying into bakeries, supermarkets and online food delivery companies. They are looking for an experienced an experienced electrical engineer to join their senior management team.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Role will provide a mixture of hands-on and hands-off engineering tasks
  • Provide electrical support & repairs for all production equipment, automation, PLC & controls
  • Part of the senior management duty manager team on their 1 in 5 weeks call out rota
  • Support shift engineers to resolve problems, delegate workload and engineering plans
  • Electrical & controls – fault finding in panels, PLC’s, electrical safety & isolations
  • Resolving plant issues, PPM’s, project work
  • Managing contractors, suppliers, CI planning, spares/parts ordering, inventory control
  • Attending meetings & shift handovers, lean manufacturing implementation, reliability engineering
  • Asset care management plans
  • Lead CI activities – drive change, conduct training, project work installations

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Must be a hands-on experienced technical expert in electrical engineering
  • Role would suit an experienced engineering team manager / leader
  • Ideally be an electrical biased engineer, with knowledge of automation & control systems
  • Able to show leadership qualities, strong character, decision maker
  • Happy being part of the senior management team, on they duty manager on-call rota
  • Electrical safety, LOTO and isolation experience
  • Must have worked in food manufacturing previously
  • Worked with CMMS systems
  • Knowledge of implementing new PPM plans, processes and procedures
  • Project management experience – leading CI activities, machine installations & planning
