We are pleased to be recruiting a CNC Machinist for a client in the Blaenavon area.

Job Purpose

The Machinist role will be to work as part of a team to process product through the Machine shop.

Activities & Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to achieve departmental KPIs.
• Operate manual vertical turning lathes and CNC vertical and horizontal turning lathes.
• Right First Time, On Time In Full.
• Ensuring SOP are followed at all times.
• Record on a daily basis key data and information in accordance with the relevant system/process.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by performing daily TPM, and 5S activities.
• Logging production throughput data onto EFACS.

Education & Qualifications

• Manual Machining experience (both manual and CNC).
• Motion control systems (Fanuc)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (2D) detailed written instructions.
• Experience in programming.
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
• Computer literate

Hours of Work

This is a 3 shift pattern of days, nights and afternoons - 37 hours per week

Base Salary £15.60 to £19.20 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance)
