About The Client
Our client is a forward-thinking business within the retail & sourcing sector. They are seeking a Legal Counsel (with PQE 3+) to join the team; in-house experience from similar industries preferred, and prior ASEAN experience will be highly regarded. 

About The Role

• Provide comprehensive legal advice, ensuring compliance while facilitating business operations.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify pain points and develop practical solutions that support strategic initiatives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to mitigate risks and protect the company’s interests.
• Stay abreast of relevant legal developments and industry trends to proactively guide the business.
• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, promoting a collaborative approach to legal challenges.

Requirements 

• Qualified lawyer with 3+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and a valid practicing certificate.
• Proven in-house legal experience, preferably within sourcing, supply chain, trading, distribution or related industries.
• Candidates with ASEAN experience are a plus.
• A business-savvy mindset with the ability to think from the business perspective and address challenges creatively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a mild demeanor, capable of communicating effectively and building rapport with diverse teams.
• Agility in navigating complex legal issues while balancing compliance with practical business needs.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
