A FinTech global payments platform are looking for a Reconciliation Specialist to join their brand new Amsterdam office as one of their key first hires. Starting out in 2012, this payments business have grown to 150 people with global expansion to New York and further European growth on the horizon for 2019.
Their innovation has attracted $61m in investment from big venture capital firms and they’ve also picked up a number of awards and shortlists over the years, including Best Company to Work for in 2017.
The role as a Reconciliation Specialist will be within the Treasury and Control team, partnering with colleagues in the London HQ and New York offices. The role will involve ensuring client's funds are handled in accordance with FCA (UK) and DNB (NL) regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Execution of all daily reconciliation and control processes such that any abnormal transactions are identified, investigated ad corrected
- Execution of daily FCA/DNB safeguarding tasks (client money segregation and reconciliation)
- Execution of internal transfers/trades for commissions, profit/losses, charges, etc.
- Identifying and delivering on opportunities to improve/streamline Treasury and Control processes
- Resolving daily issues impacting the customers or ability to demonstrate control of funds held by the business
What Skills & Experience do you need?
This position would suit either an experienced individual or a recent graduate who is interested in working within a start up environment.
- As an experienced person you must be able to demonstrate experience of reconciliation and control processes in international payments within an FX payments company, bank or broker.
- It would be beneficial if you have experience with high volume daily payments processing, completing daily reconciliations and understanding how FCA and/or DNB regulations impact our business.
- As a recent graduate you must be able to demonstrate: some insight into how a cross border payment would operate, have investigated and have some insight into regulatory requirements regarding cross border payments and demonstrate an interest in the FinTech industry showing a keen willingness to learn.
