About the Company:

TwoScots are partnering with a boutique Chartered Accounting Practice based in Melbourne CBD. They are now looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team of 16. Their services include Bookkeeping, Tax Compliance & Business Advisory. Some clients include Mining, Manufacturing, Food & Processing, Allied Health, Construction, Property Development, Hospitality.

The Role:

  • Manage the preparation of financial statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and SMSF’s;
  • Preparation of BAS & FBT Returns;
  • Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards;
  • Ability to liaise with all internal and external stakeholders and build strong relationships;
  • Manage WIP to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget;
  • Provide assistance, training and guidance to reporting staff and oversee workflow;
  • Provide Management Accounting Reporting, including analysis and advice, as well as corporate advisory services.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in an associated field in Australia
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail
  • Be self-directed, motivated and ability to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Ability to manage a team and take responsibility
  • Experience with Xero essential
