About the role
To provide pro-active and coherent organisational assistance to their manager to optimise the proficiency of that manager. Provides a professional interface between that individual and their department, the company, and all external individuals agencies. Performs various duties of a responsible and confidential nature, often to deadlines. Maintains highly confidential information and files and effectively organises and expedites the flow of work through the manager’s office

Key Responsibilities
- The nature of the relationship between a Deputy Senior Head of Function and their PA demands
- exceptional levels of trust and confidence to protect the integrity of the senior manager.
- PAs will have minimal supervision on a day-to-day basis they are required to take initiative to ensure that tasks are met within acceptable timeframes.
- The post holder will report specifically to a designated manager to ensure that conflicting priorities can be managed and for purposes of authorising expenses etc.
- Any confidential and/or sensitive information which the PA comes across must be treated respectfully and with integrity.
- Key interfaces must be managed, to ensure the smooth operational running of the manager’s office.
- PA support can be provided to more than one manager.

Qualifications
- GCSE / National Qualification standards (or equivalent) especially English Language
- RSA Grade II (or equivalent) Typing qualification
- Organisational skills -can organise complete complex events considering business and personal priorities and best use of Manager’s time.
- Influencing skills can make things happen and get results without alienating others
- People skills: maintains high level of mutual trust with the Manager(s), regularly liaises professionally with others
- Previous secretarial / PA experience supporting senior managers
- Proof of excellent organisational skills; be able to prioritise and enjoy working in a team environment as well as on their own
- Be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills, taking initiative, strong interpersonal skills,
