Mane Contract Services are currently looking for a number of Fibre Optic Technicians to work on an Offshore Wind Farm based in Scotland.

Fibre Optic Technicians

The FO Technician will be solely responsible for the FO termination, however, will take part in the other tasks in the scope of work.

Prerequisites

GWO certified
Experienced in Fibre Optic installation and testing on single mode and multi-mode cable on Subsea Fibre Optic cable

Role Description

Perform FO terminations
Ability to perform OTDR testing & interpret results
Use of fusion splicer
Ability to fault find and rectify issues dynamically
Understand the importance of critical project paperwork and required images that will be captured during stages of the installation
Able to complete tower notes during the working day
Ensures that the equipment is prepared and organised for the next working day.
Able to identify potential H&S risks on the work location and dynamically throughout the working day
Report incidents and accidents to QHSE and or DOIM.
