Salary: USD65000 - USD65000 per year + Health insurance, PTO, 401(k)

Payroll Manager:

Overview: The Payroll Manager assists with the daily employee payroll process, guaranteeing that all payroll functions are completed with accuracy and within deadlines. Candidates should have substantial multi-state payroll experience and be skilled in training and using payroll software and systems. This role also manages a team of Payroll Specialists and leads, serving as the go-to person for payroll questions and supporting the Director of Payroll with additional tasks as required.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise weekly payroll activities to ensure that payments to employees are processed correctly and on schedule.
  • Serve as the point of contact for a team of Payroll Specialists and Payroll Specialist leads, assisting with payroll-related inquiries.
  • Review payroll submissions from the team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain payroll records and generate reports for audits, management, and tax filing.
  • Train new Payroll Specialists that join our growing team.
  • Work directly with field Managers to problem solve payroll issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Payroll.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any business administrative or HR-related field.
  • Minimum of three years of payroll experience required. Two years of supervisory experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (V-Lookup and Pivot tables).
  • High ethical standards, including integrity and confidentiality.
  • Forward thinker and problem solver.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player.
