My client is a Legal 500 law firm currently looking for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join their Tax & Estate Planning team based in Southampton on a hybrid basis. The Tax & Estate Planning team manage affairs, assets, and estates of anyone who does not have the capacity to manage their own finances including deputyship, gifts, enduring and lasting powers of attorney and replacing deputyship with private trusts, alongside the general management of property and affairs.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own case load of trusts and personal tax clients as well as providing support to fee earners within the team. Advising trustees, preparing annual trust accounts, attending trustee meetings, calculating available income within trusts and estates for distribution, day-to-day trust administration of UK resident trusts, preparing annual trust tax returns and much more can be expected in this crucial role.
