Our client is looking for a tech-savvy professional with a keen eye for identifying risks and optimizing resources. They are recruiting for an Internal IT Consultant to join their dynamic team in a bank. In this pivotal role, you will review and assess the company’s current technology landscape, analyse existing resources, and develop a strategic roadmap to enhance their IT solutions.
This individual should be passionate about driving technological advancements and ensuring robust risk management within a banking environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on cutting-edge technologies to identify innovative solutions applicable to the banking sector.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in technology relevant to financial services.
- Evaluate the bank’s current technology landscape, assessing both effectiveness and risk.
- Identify and recommend the most suitable technologies that align with the bank’s strategic goals.
- Analyse technology risks associated with existing systems and propose mitigation strategies.
- Anticipate changes in technology, industry regulations, and market dynamics that may impact the bank.
- Analyse the return on investment (ROI) for technology initiatives and assess whether the bank is overspending or underspending.
- Provide insights on financial implications of technology investments.
- Compile comprehensive research findings, assessments, and recommendations into detailed reports.
- Present insights and strategic recommendations to C-level executives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Provide IT consulting services across the APAC region, tailoring strategies to meet local market needs and regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed about tech industry trends, including advancements in hardware and software technologies (e.g. GenAI), to ensure the bank remains competitive.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in high-tech and information technology sectors.
- Experience in the APAC region is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess technology risks and opportunities effectively.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to C-level executives clearly and persuasively.
- Agile and innovative mindset with the ability to anticipate changes in technology and market dynamics.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with external clients, stakeholders, and senior management across APAC and HQ.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is a significant advantage.
