Data Analyst – Markets Trasnformation
London

Overview: 

• Leading financial institution searching for a Data Analyst to join a Markets Transformation team and execute responses to regulatory and cross-business transformational projects
• As a Data Analyst, you will assess and deliver data solutions and support changes affecting multiple stakeholder groups, in response to new mandatory regulatory rulemaking, important supervisory requirements, and Markets discretional change initiatives.

• Salary up to £475-525/day – Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult with business stakeholders to ensure systems integration meets goals and define enhancements for new projects and process improvements
• Identify and mitigate key project risks, escalating issues when needed
• Validate information quality before communicating with stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects across all phases of development and implementation while adhering to essential procedures
• Resolve a variety of high-impact issues by thoroughly evaluating multifaceted logic, data and system interactions
• Develop comprehensive expertise on database and architecture integration that enables business objectives
• Perform ad hoc analyses to reconcile and interrogate data
• Develop project artifacts including requirements, test plans, and project plans for key technical deliverables
• Manage individual project responsibilities end-to-end including planning, task management, timeline adherence, and delivering high-quality solutions to stakeholders

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in business analysis roles
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Extensive SQL knowledge for data analysis
• Highly proficient in using Excel for advanced data manipulation and reporting
• Able to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including distilling complex technical details for non-technical audiences

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in investment banking or financial services
• Data visualization skills to present insights
• Proficiency with Python for automation
• Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Impala and Spark for large-scale data processing
