Are you well versed in Databricks, Java/Angular, and an expert coder? We are looking for a candidate who can lead the architecture and development efforts to grow into a full Engineering Manager role! You will collaborate with product owners on business requirements and features, implement methodologies, and identify scalable architecture for these features.

THE ROLE
- Deliver high-quality features using SQL (Databricks + MS SQL) and Java/Angular.
- Engage with product owners to understand client needs and identify good architectural designs and implementation strategies.
- Modeling quality software development practices to the team by taking on user stories and writing scalable code.
- Conducting code reviews and providing feedback to help other team members advance their skills.
- Understanding our client's API and Data Engineering platforms and effectively using them to build product features.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A successful Engineering Lead within this role will likely have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Systems or Data Analysis preferred
- 3+ years of experience with SQL Server or Databricks ETL, including hands-on experience developing SQL stored procedures and SQL-based ETL pipelines.
- Ideally 3+ years of professional Full-Stack experience developing cloud-based SaaS products using Java, SPA, and related technologies with a complex backend data processing system or working with a team delivering a robust product application
- Proficiency in Java (including testing frameworks like JUnit) and T-SQL (dynamic SQL and the use of control structures) to develop code or perform code reviews.
- Nice to haves: Scala or templating languages like Apache Freemarker
