Gi Pro are proud to be working in partnership with a well-known food manufacturing company, who are one of the most well-known manufacturers in the UK, the company in question are looking for a Maintenance team lead.

Job Role:
As a core member of the engineering team, you will be reporting directly to the engineering maintenance manager, you will be tasked with the leadership of shift members including prioritisation and allocation of workload. You will have a proven track record of working within a FMCG environment as a lead or senior engineer. You will have had technical hands-on engineering experience working with a range of maintenance activities on site.

Typical Duties will involve:

  • Ensures production priorities are understood in order that maintenance works are carried out enabling orders to be met.
  • Working closely with Shift Operations Manager to ensure planning of engineering activities are fully supported.
  • Management and development of department processes
  • Maximise and improve performance in line with KPI’s
  • Provide expert front-line engineering knowledge.
  • Ensure company and statutory Health and Safety regulations are met.
  • Carry out technical and operational audits.
  • Make and maintain the right engineering decisions.

Desirable experience

  • A recognised time served apprenticeship (ideally)
  • NVQ Level 3 (Minimum)
  • Food manufacturing maintenance
  • Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation.
  • Experience of repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled environment
  • Strong diagnostic, fault finding capability.
  • Managing safe working practices
  • Broad knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical and PC/Inverter Assets
