A leading Entertainment organisation is currently seeking 2 Senior Data Engineers to join their amazing team in a permanent career opportunity. Role and Responsibilities:
This is a permanent opportunity within a high performing and close-knit data team, working on cutting edge technologies as the business undertakes a large technical transformation.
- In this position you will work on a portfolio of projects
- You will collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including C Suite Executives, developing the business acumen to communicate effectively whilst building strong relationships
- Reporting into the Data Engineering manager, you will also mentor and guide the Engineers within the team, reviewing their work and providing guidance as the Senior member of the team
- You will provide accurate estimates for new design and development works
- You will take responsibility for all stages in the design and implementation of Data Platform and Data Integration Platform development work, designing a solution that is going to be built, and put together a data model (dimensional modeling experience highly desired)
- Work with Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, and Solution Architects to develop, document, and maintain Data Platform and Data Integration Platform standards, designs, roadmaps, and the like
- Work with and within Project teams and/or with Business Stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet or exceed requirements, and within timeframes
About you:
- 5+ years experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, or similar database and/or cloud platforms
- Experience with Azure Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Storage & Azure SQL and Synapse
- Experienced with languages such as: SQL, PySpark, Speark SQL
- 5+ years experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources and data types
- 5+ years experience in developing and implementing solution designs, development standards, data quality measurements, end to end development processes, and similar practices for data platforms and data integration platforms
- Experience with Data Quality Frameworks and Practices
- Qualified and experienced in the delivery of project solutions
- Experience leading teams, setting priorities, and driving the teams to deliver successful outcomes
- Experience with Data Modelling, Data Catalogues / Dictionaries, and Data Analysis of data sources and data platforms
