Within the professional services environment, the application of risk management procedures is fundamental to the successful delivery of our client services and promotion of our brand.
Financial crime risks relating to anti-money laundering (AML), terrorist financing, anti-bribery controls, sanctions compliance and fraud are a high focus for regulated businesses and external scrutiny as regulation and practice continues to evolve.
The opportunity
There is an opening for an AML KYC/ CDD Analyst for an exciting project. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the firm’s compliance with applicable legislation by performing first line CDD processes and providing escalations to 2nd line support functions.
Your key responsibilities
You will form a key part of this project through the undertaking of client due diligence checks on clients of EY covering money laundering, terrorism and sanctions compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing client due diligence reviews on potential clients of the Firm in accordance with EY policy and procedure
- Navigate public databases and internal systems to identify & verify due diligence information
- Identify missing CDD documentation and remediate as appropriate
- Conduct screening checks on clients and undertake follow-up research as required
- Manage personal workloads to ensure queues of work and escalations are dealt with in a timely manner
- Other tasks, as directed by the Team management

To qualify for the role you must have
- Substantial knowledge and understanding of AML verification process e.g. UBO identification, screening and source of funds/ wealth
- An awareness of recent global events linked to financial crime and sanctions
- Ideally own a professional qualification for this role (e.g ICA. Advanced certificate/ Diploma or equivalent)
- Previous experience within a regulatory or professional services environment in the world of AML alongside the practical application of AML legislation.
- Knowledge and experience of complex corporate structures
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change
