THE OPPORTUNITY
The Project Procurement Manager will work closely with the Indirect Procurement Lead, local project teams, and regional procurement specialists to develop and expand complex project procurement strategies and plans for capex procurement. The role focuses on cultivating relationships, understanding business goals, and helping to execute project strategies to streamline the purchasing process and maximize value delivery to the business.
Responsibilities and Impact:
• Align procurement strategies and plans with agreed-upon project success factors.
• Perform procurement activities for capital projects, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract management.
• Develop and align project-specific procurement strategies and plans with project teams.
• Control procurement costs, schedules, and equipment quality for project execution.
• Align key procurement decisions with project stakeholders and regional procurement management.
• Align sourcing strategies with internal customers and stakeholders.
• Track procurement progress and ensure completeness and traceability of related documents.
• Optimize supplier management and engagement.
• Manage the bidding process and approvals according to procurement procedures.
• Organize and approve single-source justifications when necessary.
• Ensure confidentiality agreements are in place for bidding activities.
• Maintain procurement package activity plans and budgets.
• Facilitate technical and commercial reviews, negotiations, and contracting.
• Support the execution of capital procure-to-pay processes.
• Assist in change order management.
• Close out project procurement, capture lessons learned, and provide feedback on supplier performance.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Engineering Discipline
• 5+ years of large capital procurement planning and execution in heavy industrial applications (chemical/specialty chemicals, mining, oil & gas, etc.)
• Familiar with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Experience with Ariba and SAP is a plus
Language Skills
• English – Proficient to conduct external and internal business
• Dutch - Proficient to conduct external and internal business
