Our client is looking for a skilled Welder Fabricator to join their team, working on a range of heavy-duty projects including railway wagons and nuclear containers.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with solid welding experience and a background in fabricating from scratch using mild steel and stainless steel.

Immediate starts available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out MIG welding to a high standard on heavy gauge materials
• Read and interpret engineering drawings for fabrication
• Fabricate complex structures from scratch
• Work with both mild and stainless steel
• Maintain high standards of safety and quality in a fast-paced workshop environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator
• Strong skills in MIG welding and heavy fabrication
• Experience working on rail industry or nuclear-related projects is highly desirable
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Must be able to pass a Butt Weld and T-Fillet test at interview stage
• Ideally NVQ qualified, apprentice-trained, or hold a relevant welding/fabrication certification
