Full Stack Developer - Django/ Angular

The Full Stack Developer provides expertise in designing, managing and developing solutions of newly developed applications in the area of Student Information System using the Django Python and Angular (TypeScript) frameworks. The developer will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of the application developed. Leads the development and implementation of features and solutions, based on a set of standards, patterns and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organization's goals and objectives. Developing full stack solutions and continuous delivery frameworks that improve the ability of the delivery teams to efficiently deliver solutions with quality.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provides hands on development and architecture experience in new product development in the area of Student information system using new technology stacks and design platform.
· Responsible for providing end to end solutions by analyzing and gathering requirements, devising solution design and implementation of solution.
· Performs technical and functional analysis, implements complex and/or multiple software applications for a large, complex project supporting varied web-based business initiatives. This work will be done independently and in collaboration with colleagues depending on project scope.
· Leads all phases of application development, including requirements, analysis, construction, testing, and deployment to ensure the quality of the system is enhanced.
· Designs and develops solutions for implementation in a Django, Angular, Relational Database environment, using AWS services for message queues, caching and workflows.
· Engages with business analysts, project managers, UX specialists and clients on all phases of the project.
· Coordinates deployment and integration activities with Systems groups.
· Ensures synchronization between changes to mainframe SIS and SSOL and related applications.
· Collaborates with colleagues to recommend changes to existing solution designs to fulfill technical requirements.
· Contributes to and assists in development of test plans and provides technical support in all phases of testing and QA leading to implementation.
· All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR GRADE:

· Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required.
· Minimum 5-7 years’ related experience.
· Highly proficient in Python, Django REST Framework, Angular, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, AWS services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, etc.).
· Strong experience with synchronous and asynchronous interfaces and microservice API development is a must.
· Knowledgeable about other technologies and able to suggest integration solutions, including third-party APIs.
· Hands-on experience with Docker, DevOps, Jira, Jenkins and Git is desirable. 
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
· Demonstrated excellence in a variety of competencies including teamwork/collaboration, analytical thinking, communication and influencing skills, and technical expertise. 
· Ability to work with changing priorities and with multiple projects. 
· Ability to be precise and attentive to detail is essential. 
· Ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Ability to work weekends and off-hour work on occasion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Demonstrated excellence in a variety of competencies including teamwork/collaboration, analytical thinking, communication and influencing skills, and technical expertise. 
· Familiar with Project Management concepts and tools.

 

Pay Rate: $70-$80/ hour 

Location: Remote or Hybrid in the Tri-State area
