Job Title: Senior Pensions Lawyer

Salary: From: £140,000 + Bonus

A prestigious global law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Pensions Associate with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience to join their award-winning Pensions team in London. This role provides the opportunity to work on high-profile, complex pensions matters, delivering commercially focused advice to both employers and trustees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on all aspects of pensions law, including corporate and bulk annuity transactions, reorganisations, benefit redesign, and liability management projects.
• Drafting and interpreting trust deeds, rules, and other scheme documents.
• Ensuring compliance with new legislation, such as automatic enrolment and tax changes.
• Providing support on governance, funding, scheme mergers, wind-ups, and pension scheme investments.
• Advising on pensions risks in transactions, including buy-ins, buy-outs, and longevity hedging.
• Taking a leadership role in transactions and managing client relationships, including providing commercially sound fee estimates and cost updates.

The Ideal Candidate:

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pensions Law, gained within a leading UK or international firm, and possess excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a focus on teamwork. They will have a proven track record of advising on complex pensions matters, from compliance and benefit design to transactional support and risk management. The successful candidate will be highly ambitious, eager to develop their career, and have the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally. A stellar academic record is essential, alongside a focus on business development and the ability to mentor junior team members
