For one of our clients active within the travel industry, we are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer focusing on data solutions for diverse business units such as Safety, Security, and Crisis Management.
As the Senior Data Engineer, you will support the team in architecting and constructing data pipelines, facilitating the transition from legacy data warehouse systems to cutting-edge data lake solutions.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Leading the design and development of data pipelines.
- Collaborating with cross-functional BI product teams.
- Delivering scalable and future-proof solutions using structured and unstructured data.
- Ensuring seamless operation and sustained performance of data solutions.
- Working within an agile framework and contributing to the impending cloud migration.
- Powering data marts and providing actionable insights through dashboards.
Profile:
- Background within Data Engineering or a similar field.
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in a data engineering role within the aviation industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the Scala & Spark
- Understanding of common algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with databases, SQL, and continuous integration/continuous deployment techniques.
- Affinity with Machine Learning and/or Operations Research concepts.
- Fluent in English
Project:
- Start: ASAP
- Location: Hoofddorp Area
- Duration: 12 months (with option of extension)
- Hours per week: fulltime (32/40)
