Our client is a leading business offering Automation/ Integration support to a number of industries across the UK- including some blue-chip names in British Manufacturing. Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring in an Electrical Design Engineer who will primarily be based on-site, but will occasionally be expected to conduct site visits to assist with Controls and Automation support.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Using CAD to create Electrical schematics such as loop diagrams, drawing PLC wiring diagrams and panel layouts
- Upgrading existing controls schemes
- Parts lists and BOMs based on the schematics
- Creating LV Distribution and cable calculations
- Machine safety circuit design to ISO 13849/60261 (manufacturing and machinery standards)
- Creating Technical documentation
- Assisting the on-site Electrical/ Controls Engineers with any issues
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
- Electrical Engineering Qualification
- Knowledge of HMI/PLC Systems
- Willingness to travel across UK on occasion
- Good manner with Clients and Suppliers
