Our client in St Albans is an abattoir looking to recruit a multiskilled engineer for a monday-friday days position. The company are willing to train and develop candidates from a variety of backgrounds, as long as you have the right attitude and some engineering experience and knowledge.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Carry out PPMs and reactive Maintenance to machinery
- Fault find on electrical and mechancial components
- Fault find on PLC systems
- Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations
- Be flexible regarding hours and overtime
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer – either electrical or mechanical biased
- Must have some hands-on engineering experience
- Ideally have worked in a food manufacturing – but open to engineers from different industries
- Comfortable with working in an abattoir environment- which can be dirty and smelly
- A flexible attitude which is reciprocated by the team
