They are looking to recruit a Curriculum Assistant to start ASAP; the end date will be 31/07/2024. The position will be working part time (25 hours per week – either 08:00 – 13:00 or 09:00 – 14:00 – preferable over 5 days but there may be the possibility of working these hours over 4 days) and is paying £13.38ph. This role will be hybrid working however, the client will accommodate office working on a daily basis if this is preferred.
About the role
In this varied and important role, you will be required to:
- Book module teams meetings via Outlook or MS Teams, data logging via Excel.
- Monitor shared inboxes to ensure that enquires are passed to the relevant person and responded to accordingly.
- Provide administrative support to Curriculum Managers and module-teams during presentation, maintenance and production cycles, as well as programme-wide activities, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Become familiar with and use University systems and processes relating to presentation, maintenance and production activities.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Skills required:
- Experience in a secretarial, clerical, or administrative role.
- Excellent information and communication technology skills including the ability to use Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Teams, and experience of using databases, spreadsheets, and templates.
- Ability to plan and prioritise own work efficiently and to work pro-actively, co-operatively, and responsively.
- Working effectively in a team.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and in an adaptable way, sometimes under pressure.
- Shows initiative.
